Recognizing Our Colleagues During Credo Week
Each year, we celebrate our colleagues — as well as our customers, communities and shareholders — during Credo Week, our version of Employee Appreciation Week. It’s an opportunity to take a moment and recognize the incredible colleagues behind our company, who live up to our Credo each day: We perform our best every day so we can do more for our customers, colleagues, communities and shareholders. Our people are what make Citizens a special place to work. It’s why we take a whole week (not just one day) to celebrate our colleagues for their hard work and accomplishments.
At the heart of Credo Week is a commitment to support our local communities. Numerous volunteer activities take place throughout our footprint, all driven by the enthusiasm of our colleagues to go out and get involved – whether it’s a virtual letter writing campaign to our service members, or making blankets for patients in a hospital, these events help our company and our colleagues reach their potential. Colleagues log their hours to add to our annual commitment to give back to the communities where we live and work.
Activities are planned for teams around all offices and branches. Our Citizens Got Talent competition is a fan favorite every year. It’s a chance for colleagues to vote on videos submitted by their peers showing off special skills and side hustles. Colleagues can see the fun unfold with our virtual phot booth galleries and on LinkedIn using #CitizensColleague!
During Credo Week, we take time to recognize colleagues with 25 years of service or more. Honorees take part in a special ceremony and have a brick with their name engraved on it installed at the entrance of our corporate headquarters in Providence, R.I.
